I like the 80-20 you proposed. It reminds me of what I call the “Girl Scout cookie mentality.” When they’re set up outside the grocery store ready to sell, they already know that a large share of the passers-by will decline their invitation to purchase their cookies. And they’re okay with that. In fact, they look forward to the “no’s” so they can get them out of the way for the “yeses.”
So trial and error can be looked at the same way—getting the “no’s” out of the way to make room for the “yeses.”
